Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 30, 2026
Overview
Cherry Moments ("we," "us," or "our") operates cherrymoments.com, a service that lets you create and publish personal event websites for occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and baby showers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you use Cherry Moments, we may collect:
- Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and maintain your account.
- Event content — details you provide when creating an event, such as names, event type, date, location, theme choices, and any text you add.
- Photos — images you upload to your event pages.
- Technical data — basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Cookies — a session cookie that keeps you signed in after you log in. See the Cookies section below.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Authenticate you and provide access to your dashboard.
- Create, edit, and publish your event websites.
- Display published event pages to visitors you share them with.
- Maintain, protect, and improve the service.
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Published event pages
When you publish an event, the content you choose to include — such as names, dates, locations, and photos — becomes publicly accessible at your event's URL (for example, your-event.cherrymoments.com). Only publish information you are comfortable sharing with your guests and the public.
Third-party services
We use Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in, Google processes your information under Google's Privacy Policy. We receive only the profile information needed to operate your account.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our marketing site and published event pages (such as page views and general traffic patterns). Google may collect device and usage information under Google's Privacy Policy. Event hosts can view aggregated traffic for their own event sites in the dashboard.
Our service is hosted on infrastructure providers that store and process data on our behalf to run the website, database, and file storage.
Cookies
We use a session cookie (cm_token) to remember that you are signed in. This cookie is required for account features such as creating and editing events. You can remove cookies through your browser settings, but doing so will sign you out.
Data retention
We keep your account and event data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete an event or your account, we delete or de-identify associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or backup purposes.
Your choices
You can:
- Update or delete event content from your dashboard.
- Unpublish an event to remove public access.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting us (see Contact below).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Cherry Moments is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
